Who plays the music here?

Opera has its orchestra and its singers, film has its soundtrack. But what is played at EXPERIENCE TIROL? Here you can find out everything about the music in our show. Music has been very important to us from the very beginning. With EXPERIENCE TIROL, we wanted to create a show that captivates people, accompanies them emotionally and imparts knowledge at the same time. In addition to the actual story and the impressive interior design, music is one of the most important tools for achieving this goal. But how did our music come about?

The path to music together with Ralf Metzler

It all starts with the idea. This is followed by the concept. And finally the script. With all these things in our backpacks, we visited Ralf Metzler, a music producer from Innsbruck(Klangfeile). We told him about our vision and the important role of music in EXPERIENCE TIROL. During the first talks, we discussed how the music should sound: Tyrolean? But not too cheesy? Jazzy? Classic or modern? Atmospheric?

In all of this, we were always aware of the following basic idea: “EXPERIENCE TIROL should have the same effect as Herbert Pixner makes his music. World music, modern, but with unmistakable roots in the Alpine region.” It quickly became clear that the music should go in this direction.

The musical journey inspired by Herbert Pixner

Today, almost two years later, there is a musical leitmotif that accompanies visitors through all the rooms – an original by Herbert Pixner (Schallalalala). Each room has its own sound, matching the respective content. The music of Time Travel changes from medieval to rock as the story progresses. The room of memories has Tyrolean, mythical notes. The art space jazzt. Another Pixner original can be heard in the nature room, this time with a full orchestra (Beautiful Seeress, Anna, Serpent).

The artists behind the music

In addition to the pieces by Herbert Pixner, all other sounds were composed especially for EXPERIENCE TIROL and recorded by various Tyrolean artists. These include Florian Bramböck, Enrique Torres, Johannes Sigl, Robert Sölkner, Bernhard Falkner, Manuel Randi, Florian Obermoser, Mario Punzi, Max Castlunger, Pierre Pitzl, Anderas Gilgenber, Andreas Schiffer, Louis Goldblum, Hubert Trenkwalder and Wolfgang Henn.

Title song by Denise Beiler

A special highlight is the title song of EXPERIENCE TIROL, sung by Denise Beiler. “Du, mei Tirol” is played at the end of the show. Be sure to stay until the end to enjoy the bonus material and the full-length song!
